TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1 – KINGSTON, WA

Travelling south, we cross into Washington and enjoy a scenic excursion across the Puget Sound.  Arriving in Kingston and unwind for the next two nights at The Point Casino & Hotel.

DAY 2 – KINGSTON

Following a stop at Kitsap Mall, we venture off to the quaint village of Poulsbo, also known as “Little Norway”.  Take a stroll along the boardwalk in search of seals, herons and eagles, and then peruse the colourful shops offering everything from Scandinavian gifts to fine art, fashion and antiques.

SPOTLIGHT

There are seven species of whales and dolphins that frequent the Puget Sound.  Minke, humpback and orcas are commonly seen between May and October.

DAY 3 – OCEAN SHORES, WA

Travelling inland over Kitsap Peninsula, pass through  bustling towns and quaint villages.  Visit Hoquiam’s 7th Street Theatre before arriving at Quinault Beach Resort. Your views of sandy beaches and rolling surfs are unparalleled.

DID YOU KNOW?

Port Townsend is home to one of two “bell towers” known to exist in the US.  It is 125 feet tall and was used during emergencies. The other bell is located in Helena, MT

DAY 4 – OCEAN SHORES

This is your day! Take a stroll along the beach and try your luck in the casino.  Enjoy!

EXPERIENCES & HIGHLIGHTS

One of the best-known waterway systems in the Pacific Northwest is, without a doubt, Puget Sound.  Travel via the Washington State Ferry system to some of its best kept secrets beginning with the Kitsap Peninsula, blessed with an abundance of natural beauty, wildlife and sealife.

Anchored by the majestic Olympic Mountains and bordered by the Pacific Ocean, Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Hood Canal, the Olympic Peninsula offers an unexpected experience as diverse as its terrain.

DAY 5 – ANACORTES, WA

A day of scenic delights as we travel the beautiful Olympic Peninsula via Hwy 101 North.  The temperate rain forest of Olympic National Park is right outside your window.  Crossing Deception Pass Bridge, we arrive in Anacortes where breathtaking views of Padilla Bay, Swinomish Channel and the San Juan Islands await you.

DAY 6 – RETURN HOME

Make a stop in Lynden,  where Dutch influence is on display from the large windmill to the quaint cafes and shops.  We cross back into Canada and with wonderful memories of a delightful seashore escape. Enjoy your final moments at the resort before departing mid-morning. Bid farewell to travelling companions as we return home with fond memories of the Pacific Northwest.
