TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1 – REVELSTOKE, BC

Enjoy a relaxed pace while journeying to Revelstoke.  Arrive at the soothing Coast Hillcrest Hotel offering a cozy, mountain lodge atmosphere. Get to know your fellow travellers at tonight’s welcome dinner.

DAY 2 – DRUMHELLER, AB

Continuing east, take in the glacier-carved valleys, towering peaks and lush cedar forests of Glacier National Park.  Watch the scenery transform from jagged peaks and dramatic mountains to the rolling foothills and wide-open prairies of Drumheller’s captivating badlands. Settle in for a two-night stay at the Ramada.

EXPERIENCES & HIGHLIGHTS

The Royal Tyrrell Museum is Canada’s only museum dedicated exclusively to the study of ancient life. It houses the world’s largest selection of dinosaurs with hundreds of thousands of fossils and a magnitude of reconstructed displays.

DAY 3 – DRUMHELLER, AB

Discover the world-renowned Royal Tyrell Museum, home to one of the largest dinosaur displays on Earth.  Continue to the Atlas Coal Mine, a preserved historic coal-mining site known for its dramatic wooden tipple and vintage machinery followed by Drumheller’s most iconic landmark, the Willow Creek Hoodoos. End the day in Wayne Ghost Town and dinner at the Last Chance Saloon, known for its creaky floors, bullet-marked walls and vintage décor.

SPOTLIGHT

Hoodoos are formed through a repetitive process of freezing, melting, erosion and wind. Drumheller’s hoodoos are said to be 70 to 75 million years old.

DAY 4 – CANMORE, AB

Experience the stories of the land at Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park before stepping into the past at Heritage Park Village with its historic streets and vintage buildings. The day ends in Canmore, our home for the next two nights.

DAY 5 – CANMORE

Experience the beauty of Banff, ending the day at a local favourite for dinner.

SPOTLIGHT

The Town of Banff is Canada’s highest town with an elevation of 4,537 feet and Banff National Park was Canada’s first National Park.

DAY 6 – REVELSTOKE, BC

Another day of sights including Lake Louise and the Revelstoke Rail Museum.  End with a Ghost Town tour and BBQ dinner at Three Valley Lake Chateau in Revelstoke.

SPOTLIGHT

The Revelstoke Rail Museum features a remarkable collection of vintage locomotives, railcars and artifacts that let visitors experience the local heritage of life on the rails.

DAY 7 – RETURN HOME
