TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1 – TULALIP, WA

Our adventure begins with our first night at the luxurious Tulalip Resort Casino.

DAY 2 – CANYONVILLE, OR

Continuing south, arrive into Canyonville and the Seven Feathers Casino Resort.

DAY 3-4 – SACRAMENTO, CA

Sacramento is our home for the next two nights.  We visit the California State Railway Museum, one of the top rail museums. Discover the charm of Old Town, visit the State Capitol and surrounding gardens.  Enjoy a dinner aboard the Delta King, a beautifully restored 1920’s era riverboat.

EXPERIENCES & HIGHLIGHTS

When first introduced, trains opened travel to new frontiers and their romance and glamour continues to fascinate enthusiasts today. This diverse rail experience includes some of the best railroad museums and trains in the west. Cross the Sierra Nevada Mountains on the California Zephyr, ride the historic V&T Railroad from Virginia City and embark on a journey aboard the Nevada Northern Railroad.

DAY 5 – RENO, NV

It’s ‘All Aboard’ Amtrak’s California Zephyr. Journey across the Sierra Nevada Mountains and enjoy beautiful views and historical insight into the route that brought America together after the Civil War. Arrive to the ‘Biggest Little City in the World’, Reno for a two-night stay at the Silver Legacy.

DAY 6 – RENO

Travel back in time along the famous V&T Railroad shortline from Virginia City to Gold Hill. Tour the well-preserved streets and architecture of Virginia City then on to the Nevada State Railway Museum in Carson City.

DAY 7 – ELKO, NV

Today we visit the National Automobile Museum, known as one of America’s Five Greatest Automobile Museums. Late this afternoon return to the train station and re-board the California Zephyr, arriving later this evening into Elko.

DAY 8 – ELY, NV

Today’s drive to the silver mining town of Ely offers picturesque views of the Ruby Mountains. Arrive at the Nevada Northern Railway Museum, a National Historic Landmark that showcases the history the historic railroad played in development of the region.

DAY 9 – MESQUITE, NV

Nevada landscapes continue to unfold. Visit Cathedral Gorge enroute to Mesquite. Set in the Virgin River Valley with its warm climate and more than 300 days of sunshine, it’s truly an oasis in the desert.  Settle in for the next two nights.

DAY 10 – MESQUITE

The fall colours beckon and guarantee to make our visit to Zion National Park even spectacular. From the floor of the canyon gaze up at massive sandstone cliffs of cream, pink and red that soar into the sky.

DAY 11 – JACKPOT, NV

Begin the homeward journey with Jackpot, Nevada welcoming us tonight.

DAY 12 – PENDLETON, OR

Arrive back into Oregon where we head to Pendleton.

DAY 13 – TULALIP, WA

Return full circle to the Tulalip Resort for our final night.

DAY 14 – RETURN HOME
