TOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1 – CHEMAINUS, BC
Board BC Ferries for an afternoon sailing to Vancouver Island. Nestled between the mountains and ocean, we arrive at picturesque Chemainus.
DAY 2 – CHEMAINUS
Start the day with a walking tour of the vibrant murals Chemainus is known for. Prepare for close encounters with birds of prey at Pacific Northwest Raptors and learn about these majestic creatures. This evening enjoy dinner and a show at the Chemainus Theatre featuring ‘9 to 5: The Musical’ based off the hit 1980s film starring Dolly Parton.
DAY 3 – PORT HARDY, BC
Travel today to Port Hardy offers a scenic journey through the beautiful landscapes of the Island. Our first stop is Coombs Country Market known for its goats on the roof. Continue up north to Campbell River. Learn the history of the town and area with a visit to its local museum. Rugged landscapes and coastal vistas continue to unfold as we arrive into Port Hardy.
DAY 4 – PRINCE RUPERT
Set sail today aboard BC Ferries’ ‘Northern Expedition’. The 15-hour journey sails the Inside Passage, renowned for its sheltered waters and awe-inspiring scenery including dramatic fjords and green-forested channels. Arrive in Prince Rupert late this evening.
EXPERIENCES & HIGHLIGHTS
Cruise the Inside Passage through channels surrounded by mountains that tower out of the sea and experience just how immense and diverse BC’s coast truly is. The Northern Expedition makes this 15-hour journey travelling over 500 kilometres along the coastline of one of BC’s most spectacular scenic routes: the Inside Passage. Pass fjords and islands all while spotting whales, sea lions and eagles on this breathtaking sailing adventure.
DAY 5 – PRINCE RUPERT
Explore the North Pacific Cannery and learn about the fascinating history of the salmon canning industry during a tour.
DAY 6 – SMITHERS, BC
Visit the ‘Ksan Village, and the once bustling port town of Hazelton. Our overnight is in Smithers.
DAY 7 – PRINCE GEORGE, BC
Continuing south, pass through small towns including Houston, Burns Lake and Vanderhoof with a stop at their historical museum. Overnight in Prince George, Northern BC’s largest city.
DAY 8 – QUESNEL, BC
Step back in time today with a visit to the historic town of Barkerville – a true testament to BC’s golden beginnings. Enjoy a theatre performance and guided tour. Tonight we gather for a farewell dinner.

Experience more than 125 heritage buildings, museums, period displays, restaurants and shops at Barkerville Historic Park paying tribute to Billy Barker’s legendary gold strike in 1852!
DAY 9 – RETURN HOME
Depart towards home today with a stop at Hat Creek Ranch where you can explore this heritage site, ride a stagecoach and admire floral displays.
