TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1 – HALIFAX, NS

Fly into Halifax and check-in to your hotel before a Meet & Greet this evening.

DAY 2 – MONCTON, NB

Explore the Bay of Fundy and learn about the world’s highest tides. Explore the Joggins Fossil Cliffs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will see layers of rock revealing the world’s most complete fossil record of life in the “Coal Age” of 300 million years ago.  After crossing into New Brunswick, enjoy a scrumptious lobster dinner on a lobster boat. Continue on to Moncton and check into your hotel for the night.

DAY 3 – SAINT JOHN, NB

Experience a natural wonder at the Hopewell Rocks on the coast of the Bay of Fundy.  Travel through Fundy National Park on to Canada’s first incorporated city, Saint John, for a city tour including Reversing Falls and much more.

DAY 4 – SAINT JOHN

Enjoy a day trip to St. Andrews by-the Sea where the quaint charm of this town is sure to captivate. Take in a Whale Watching Tour and free time to explore.

DAY 5 – DIGBY, NS

Ferry back to Nova Scotia and arrive in Digby, the scallop capital of the world. Check into the hotel that overlooks the Annapolis Basin on the Bay of Fundy.

DAY 6 – HALIFAX

Travel the Annapolis Valley where the French Acadians of Grand Pre made their first settlement. Learn about this landscape’s designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit a local winery for a tour and tasting.

SPOTLIGHT

Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site transports you back in time to the 1700s when you step through the fortress walls. Chat with sailors, fisherman and servants.

DAY 7 – HALIFAX

Discover the charm of the renowned Peggy’s Cove where you will enjoy breakfast overlooking one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world.   Continue to the UNESCO World Heritage Town of Lunenburg, renowned for her fleets of Grand Banks’ fishing schooners.  Visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic to learn about the town’s famous seafaring heritage.

DAY 8 – CHARLOTTETOWN, PE

Learn about the Mi’kmaq people at Millbrook Cultural & Heritage Centre before crossing Confederation Bridge to PEI. Enjoy a theatre performance by local entertainers at the Confederation Centre of the Arts tonight.

DAY 9 – CHARLOTTETOWN

Enjoy a free morning in Charlottetown or join a walking tour of the city.  This afternoon, tour the North Shore of the island.  Drive by red cliffs, white beaches, gently sloping sand dunes and green fields of Prince Edward Island National Park and visit Anne of Green Gables Heritage Place.

DAY 10 – BADDECK, NS

Ferry back to Nova Scotia and proceed to Cape Breton Island, the Scotland of North America. Visit Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site to learn of the many accomplishments of this genius.

DAY 11 – BADDECK

Experience one of the most picturesque drives in North America as you tour the Cabot Trail, ascending to the incredible plateaus of Cape Breton Highlands National Park.  Your day is complemented by a Whale Watching Boat Tour.

DAY 12 – HALIFAX

The Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site awaits – Roam the streets and chat with costumed guides.  Proceed back to Halifax for one last night in the Maritimes.

DAY 13 – FLY HOME
