TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1 – WILLIAMS LAKE, BC

Travel up the Cariboo Highway, a route that follows much of the historic Cariboo Wagon Road and Gold Rush Trail of the 1860’s.

DAY 2 – PRINCE GEORGE, BC

Visit the historic town of Barkerville –a true testament to BC’s golden beginnings and a National Historic Site of Canada before arriving in Prince George.

SPOTLIGHT

Step back in time at Barkerville Historic Town, the largest living-history museum in western North America, with 125+ heritage buildings and authentic displays.

DAY 3 – PRINCE RUPERT, BC

Enjoy the great stretches of wilderness, streams and rivers from a unique perspective aboard VIA Rail.  Contemplate the sweeping landscape that is dotted with sparkling lakes, rustic hamlets and sawmills all the way up to Prince Rupert.

DAY 4 – PRINCE RUPERT

Visit the Museum of Northern BC, which celebrates the rich culture and 10,000 years of captivating human history of the region.  Experience 130 years of history at the North Pacific Cannery. Learn about this integral part of BC’s industrial economy and cultural history through special exhibits.

EXPERIENCES & HIGHLIGHTS

Cruise the Inside Passage through channels surrounded by mountains towering out of the sea. Experience just how immense and diverse BC’s coastline truly is.

BC Ferries’ “Northern Expedition” makes this 15-hour journey travelling over 500 kilometres along the coastline of one of BC’s most spectacular scenic routes: the Inside Passage. Pass fjords and islands all while spotting whales, sea lions and eagles on this breathtaking sailing adventure.

DAY 5 – PORT HARDY, BC

Board BC Ferries’ “Northern Expedition” for our 15-hour sailing through the Inside Passage. Travel along magnificent coastline passing hundreds of islands and waterfalls, through dramatic fjords and green-forested channels all while being on the lookout for whales, dolphins, eagles and bears.  Arrive in Port Hardy late this evening for an overnight stay.

DAY 6 – RETURN HOME

Today explore the village of Telegraph Cove before travelling south. We then board the ferry in Nanaimo for our return to the Mainland. Arrive home later this afternoon with wonderful memories from a trip of a lifetime exploring beautiful British Columbia.
